


and to try synchronizing the key on another computer making sure my Device Manager displayed a properly configured port for my iLok key (i.e. checking to make sure I wasn't trying to run the software I was trying to authorize while trying to sync to After several consternations - sending emails to Digidesign, iLok and Pace (the company that provides the iLok keys) I finally got a response back from the iLok Tech Support. As such, I'm unable to start my Pro Tools software. I've had my software for less than 6 months and already my iLok key (i.e. Well, I have to say that I'm fairly disappointed. This leads me to believe that perhaps something may be wrong with my iLok key.Īll the latest drivers for the hardware had previously been installed and were working fine I tried removing the iLok key to see if it would prompt me for the key but I end up in the same situation I just described. When I open the Windows Task Manager however, I can see that Pro Tools is running (or trying to run) and using up about 50% of my CPU resources, but again, the actual program itself won't come up. What happens is when I try and start the application the splash screen won't even come up. I've tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the software, I've used a different USB port from where I usually connect the iLok key and nothing. I have had the software for few a months with no problems until now. My Pro Tools M-Powered 7.3.1 all of a sudden just won't start.
